Contributions
- Serves as a Database and Database Process Design and Coding Technical Specialist.
- Develops or modifies procedures to solve complex database design problems, including performance, scalability, security, and integration issues.
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents complex databases.
- Works at a high technical level of all phases of database engineering activities.
- Designs Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) routines including: entity resolution, data de-duplication, metadata extraction, and data augmentation.
- Processes geospatial data – encoding raw data into metadata.
- Technical expertise in coding and logic specifications. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state-of-the art technical or industry knowledge.
- Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Performs design evaluations and develops program plans, implementation, and business strategy.
- Compiles data from multiple sources.
- Experience executing in an Agile, DevSecOps environment highly desired.
- Experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCS) and open source database and system implementations required.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in database design and coding with big data.
- Experience in ETL development, implementation, and automation
- Experience using Agile and DevSecOps methods and techniques desired.
- Experience with Cloud-based and open source database and solution implementation required
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, Government security clearance minimally at the Public Trust level
- Must meet U.S. residency requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- A combination of experience and education exceeding the degree/education requirement may be considered based on demonstrated experience and certification(s).
