Title: Remote Business Analyst

Company Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst with a background in the hospitality industry to join our dynamic team. This remote position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have experience in hotels, resorts, lodges, timeshares, or similar environments. Our focus is on enriching our Central Reservation System (CRS) to deliver a seamless experience for our guests and a robust solution for our resort’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Engineering Team, and QA Team members to ensure the successful delivery of product enhancements and features.
  2. Support the Product Owner and Change Management Team in gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements. This may include drafting use cases and other supporting documentation.
  3. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) materials needed for operational excellence.
  4. Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture comprehensive requirements and ensure the proposed solutions align with the operational processes.
  5. Work alongside QA engineers in defining test cases and scenarios, ensuring thorough coverage and quality assurance.
  6. Assist with the preparation of test data to facilitate accurate and robust testing activities.
  7. Support Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and other testing activities, ensuring the solution meets the defined requirements and quality standards.
  8. Document the business process impact of the solutions, assisting in change management and communication plans as needed to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience in a business analysis role within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong understanding of reservation systems or similar hospitality systems is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools is a plus.
